ANOTHER big name has been moved as teams start beefing up their rosters for the 2026-2027 NBA season.

According to multiple reports, the Charlotte Hornets are trading former All-Star guard LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Naz Reid, a first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps and three second-round picks.

Aside from Ball, Charlotte is also sending Josh Green to the Wolves.

With the deal, Ball, Charlotte’s No. 3 pick in the 2020 Draft, will team up with Minnesota star guard Anthony Edwards in what could be a deadly duo in the Western Conference.

Ball had a solid run last season where he was good for 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game.

The arrival of Ball solidified Minnesota’s backcourt that also has Ayo Dosunmu and veteran guard Mike Conley.

The Wolves have been having a busy off-season as they also recently traded All-Star forward Julius Randle to the Brooklyn Nets.

On the other hand, Reid, a former Kia Sixth Man of the Year Award winner, will join Kon Knueppel, veterans Miles Bridges and Grant Williams and rising forward Brandon Miller.

Reid averaged 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists a game last season and played a key role in the Wolves’ semifinal finish in the West.

The Charlotte-Minnesota deal came after the Milwauke Bucks traded superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat.(CCM)
