THE University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars went through another extended match. And they delivered anew.

The Jaguars stretched their winning run to four after pulling off a 77-70 overtime win over the University of the Philippines (UP)-Cebu Fighting Maroons, 77-70, in the collegiate division of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) Season 26 on Tuesday night, Oct. 6, at the Cebu Coliseum.

Three of USJ-R’s last four games went to overtime, going 3-for-3 in those occasions that raised their record to 5-3 (win-loss).

Alcher Obra put in serious work, leading the Jaguars with 24 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and a block.

Obra got plenty of help with three teammates scoring double figures. Kirst Ryll Da Silva chipped in 13 points, Kenneth Calvin Cole added 12, and Christian Carl Solanno tossed in 11.

AJ De Los Reyes scored 14 points, Aron-Dave Kress scored 12, Nino Wenraye Sarol had 10 for UP, which stumbled to a second straight loss to drop to 2-6.
