NO FIREARM tucked in his waist. No police unifrom. It’s a moment that Jusue Bastillada will be trading punches as the fighting policeman will headline the “Bakbakan Tres” fight card on July 23 at the Barba Sports Complex in Toledo City.

An operative of the Toledo City Police Station with a rank of Staff Sergeant, Bastillada will gun for his second regional title belt when he goes up against veteran Jess Rhey Waminal in the main event of the card put up by Yellow Boxing Promotions.

Bastillada and Waminal will clash for the vacant World Boxing Foundation (WBF) featherweight title

If successful, Bastillada will collect another hardware after he snatched the VISPOBA featherweight title via a first-round knockout win over veteran Jason Tinampay last April 11 in Toledo.

Bastillada holds an outstanding record, piling up 10 wins in 11 fights so far with six knockout victories.

The battle tested Waminal has 16 wins, 12 losses and a draw. Nine of his wins came by knockout.
