CASH incentives were awarded to Boholano athletes responsible for the province’s strong showing in the recent Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CViRAA) 2026 Meet received

The Provincial Government of Bohol, through the Education Development Center (EDC), released P995,000 for the incentives of its Cviraa medallists.

A total of 358 athletes received cash rewards, with gold medalists getting ₱3,000 and silver medalists pocketing ₱2,000. Bronze medalists were given ₱1,000.

During the awarding ceremony, Gov. Aris Aumentado commended the athletes’ hardwork and encouraged them to aim for a higher finish in the annual meet.

Bohol finished second overall in this year’s Cviraa Meet with a haul of 84 golds, 85 silvers, and 75 bronzes.

Perennial champion Cebu City came out on top anew with a harvest of 146 golds, 105 silvers, and 100 bronzes.

Aumentado likewise reaffirmed the province’s commitment to support local athletes in upcoming competitions and reminded them to balance their academic responsibilities with their athletic pursuits.(CCM)
