ONE-SIDED matches marked the start of the Architects and Engineers Basketball Club (AEBC) Buildrite Cup 2025 on Saturday, September 13, at the University of San Carlos (USC) Downtown Gymnasium.

Rubberstop thwarted Surfix, 93-77, Blockout dumped Kryocrete, 67-49, while Smartbond also had an easy time beating Readycrete, 75-54.

Liehn Ibarita and Jestony Anor showed the way for Rubberstop by firing 25 and 24 points, respectively. Jepher Auguis also scored in double figures for Rubberstop with 19 markers.

Rozien Rivera and Nikki Punay put up big scoring games with the former tallying 27 points and the latter dropping 25 but Surfix still couldn’t get over the hump.

Blockout, on the other hand, heavily relied on Paolo Munez, who piled up 18 points, three rebounds, and one steal.

Aquim Bordomeo and Hero Castro topped Kryocretes with 11 markers each.

Leading the charge for Smartbond’s own convincing win was Arnel Codero and Jhay Chu, who combined for 39 points and 10 rebounds.

Arlu Esteban paced Readycrete with 13 points while Jose Enricko Pitogo chipped in 10.

Meanwhile, stunning beauties took centerstage in the opening ceremonies with Trixie Anne Rio of Kryocrete shining the brightest to win the Best Muse award.

Veanah Audrie Flores of Rubberstop emerged as first runner-up while Floralyn Estur of HandyFix Pro took the second runner-up honors.(CCM)
