NO drama, no controversy just pure dominant performance by the San Miguel Beermen.

The Beermen bounced back from a sorry and controversial loss in Game 1 by pulling off a convincing 98-92 win over the TNT Tropang 5G in Game 2 of the 49th PBA Philippine Cup Finals on Wednesday night, July 16, at the Araneta Coliseum.

By recovering from a 96-99 loss in Game 1, the Beermen evened the best-of-seven series, 1-1, with the two squads gunning for a crucial two-to-one advantage on Fridayโ€™s Game 3.

Don Trollano, June Mar Fajardo, and Moala Tautuaa powered the Beermen, who appeared to have quickly moved on from their Game 1 debacle that became controversial after a late San Miguel field goal was waived off that helped TNT escape with the win.

Trollano led the Beermen with 22 , Fajardo finished with 17 markers and Tautuaa tallied 16 points.

San Miguel built early double-digit cushions but TNT fought back and tied the contest at 77-early in the fourth quarter.

The Beermen, however, came up with a huge answer, restoring another double-digit cushion, 92-82, and cruised the rest of the way.

Calvin Oftana topped TNT with 23 points while Jordan Heading, Kelly Williams, and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser tossed in 15, 11, and 10 markers, respectively.
